Our cat loved to try and climb up, on and around our TV. We tried everything, but this did the trick.
We had an acupuncture pad lying around and she refused to walk on it. So I cut it into strips and surrounded the TV with it, including taping it to the top of the TV; which is coveted cat territory. After awhile we removed the pieces just keeping the couple on top. Now they are all long gone and she still knows not to climb in the TV!

I usually lay it under my butt and thighs for 10-20 min and then I'll lie on each side for another 10 min. Have you tried a portable TENS unit? That helps with the muscles around my hip pain. But decoding dreams has been helpful for some of the symbolism aspects. My go to is dreammoods.com Since I take 5 minutes of groaning and wishing I had more sleep, I'll quickly look on my phone what the exploding turkey means lol

Fitfabfun subscription. It's a little surprise 4 times a year. They include comfort items and self-care items. I love getting blankets and face masks, etc.
As far as the meditation goes, I can't recommend a 10 day course enough. I know it probably sounds insane, or cult-ish, or too difficult, but it's very worth it IMO.
As for the acupressure mat, here's the one that I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I1QCPIK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Works very well for me. A friend of mine recommended it. The sensation of the needles (i.e. pain) causes your brain to release endorphins, which make you feel better physically and emotionally.
I found those specific supplements by reading The Mood Cure by Julia Ross, a very good read. It discusses how most emotional problems are caused by simple deficiencies in neurotransmitters, usually caused by our diets.
Stay strong and have faith that you can make things better over time :) that's what I try to do.
/u/imyke /u/MindOfMetalAndWheels Not sure how scientific this is, but I've found these spikey mats super effective for insomnia. I've had nights where my brain just won't turn off, especially when there's something on my mind. I will lay on it on bare skin for 10-15 minutes. The pain is like a forced meditation, and then I can fall asleep pretty easily after. Highly recommended.
