The concept you're looking for is really heteronormative.

Most cis-gendered heterosexual people do unconsciously express their gender identity, but the specific name for this is "heteronormativity", or alternatively, the "common public". There are many cis, straight people who consciously recognize their own sexuality and gender identity, particularly in many queer-adjacent communities (like kink, bdsm, etc.) That they do so consciously is non-normative behaviour, even if their conscious expression happens to align with the conventional majority.

There's a ton of queer theory written on this topic, but a good place to start is the aforementioned "Publics & Counterpublics", by *Michael Warner". And I'm sure this illustrious reddit will have many better suggestions which I look forward to reading once recommended. :)
