No problem, python was my favorite class while I was in school, haha. My professor actually has a pretty good textbook (what an amazing rarity, a textbook pushed on students for the professor's own personal gain that's actually good). It has a lot of step by step, basic instructions on all sorts of stuff for ArcPy. There's also a lot of exercises to do if you're so inclined.
