$560 is an oddly specific amount, but I tried to keep as close to your budget as I could while still selecting quality parts that could be assembled into an expandable and upgradable PC.

I selected the storage based on your request. If I were picking parts for myself, I'd drop the mechanical hard drive and go with a bigger SSD.

Since you didn't mention already having peripherals, you may be interested in this mechanical keyboard/gaming mouse/mousepad/headset combo which is currently being offered at a significantly reduced price at Amazon. It's color matched to the PC case.

If you'd like an explanation of the reasoning process behind the components selected, I can provide one.

Let me know your questions and comments.

Which peripherals do you already have? There is a Redragon bundle on Amazon that is usually around $50 USD but is currently $40. It comes with a mousepad, mouse, headset, and keyboard. I use it and the mouse and keyboard are really good considering they were so cheap. The headset isn’t AMAZING but for budget peripherals it gets the job done. If you already have a headset there might be a better deal or this bundle might have a version without it for cheaper but I’m not sure. Also I should point out that mouse, keyboard, and headset in this bundle are all wired if that matters to you.

If you are looking for more quality peripherals than I would go with a Logitech mouse and maybe keyboard.

I agree, there’s a combo on Amazon that’s a red dragon mouse + mechanical keyboard + high quality mouse pad (6inch by 6inch?) for like $50. I love it all. It’s very black and red but the keys are very solid. Spilled beer directly onto the keys and after a hasty cleaning, not a single issue. Highly recommend.

Edit: it even comes with a headset now and I’m a little jealous lol

Here \<-- only thing I don't like is that there's no numberpad on the keyboard but I got used to it and otherwise this is amazing bang for your buck.

u/samcuu · 2 pointsr/buildapc

So here's the combo.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZYH9WB5

For $50 for everything, the quality is probably isn't anything top-notch, but IMO for kids that's good enough. Idk about other parts but I have heard that RedDragon keyboards are decent for the price, so I would expect the mouse and headset to be not too bad.

I am currently picking parts for my new Build....and this monitor for the price looks like a good deal..any other feedback for anyone that has bought it out there...

I was wondering is this monitors have some sort of firmware update or if that is even a thing for monitors (sorry i have been using gaming laptops for the last 7 years).

I am looking to pair it with this:

I would recommend this build. It has a 144hz monitor, 1060 6GB instead of a 1050ti, a ryzen 1300x instead of the Pentium, and 16gb of ram instead of 8gb. It should be around $700-$750 on Black Friday. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/MLG4K144Hz/saved/s29wVn. If you need keyboard/mouse/Headset here is a really good value https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06ZYH9WB5?psc=1.

u/-_dashunderscore · 1 pointr/buildapcforme

I'd say cut 20 bucks off the case (rebate) here:

https://www.newegg.com/black-cooler-master-masterbox-q300l-micro-atx/p/N82E16811119331?item=N82E16811119331&source=googleshopping&nm_mc=knc-googleadwords-mobile&cm_mmc=knc-googleadwords-mobile-_-pla-_-cases+%28computer+cases+-+atx+form%29-_-N82E16811119331&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2vjuBRCqARIsAJL5a-L8f1ikQQd9iQgkZkMPGmznaVgJhXvbJ1T52ivrgEwJGhtG4Q-S0l8aAmO7EALw_wcB

...or one if the DIYPC cases on Amazon.
Then go with this for peripherals:

https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Keyboard-Microphone-Mechanical-Games-Keyboard/dp/B06ZYH9WB5/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=red+dragon+keyboard+and+mouse+combo&qid=1574873619&sprefix=red+dragon&sr=8-3.

Full mechanical keyboard w/ Otemu switches, the mouse Is great, mousepad is flashy and the headset... functions! Lol. Its all backlit, highly recommended in linus tech tips' budget peripherals videos, and by yours truly. It's quality, but also probably way more impactful as a gift to an 11 year old.

That monitor might be a bit over specced for this combo, so that is where i would cut if you'd like to stay below price target. I generally tend to tell people that you shouldn't buy your dream PC and your dream monitor at the same time, since they provide Poor shelter and if purchased at the same time you most likely will not have money left for rent lol

Here is a 'future second screen/ backup' option:

Solid build though for sure, these are just options

I would approach it like this:

Get a Used PC for 500$

Get this bundle (in case you aren't sure about if it is any good, here's a review by UFD tech)

And spend the rest of ur money on a monitor like this one (note that this monitor is quite small but 75hz IPS)

u/Asianoodleman · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

Brb. Edit: canadian money is shit

Edit: Heres part list.

Here is a bundle, for headset, mouse, keyboard and mouse pad

Idk where you can find a cheap monitor

u/neferseki · 1 pointr/buildapc

I see you have $80 spent on peripherals (keyboard, mouse, headset). Have you considered this combo to save $30?

from memory people don't seem to like the EVGA BT units so I will recommend this corsair instead as its known to be somewhat decent.

PC - GTX 560ti FE Core I5 3570k

Monitors - 2 1080p 60hz monitors

Table - don't know

Chair - don't know but it's comfortable

Welcome to the club, I have scoured the Internet for the best setup and I would recommend this bundle from Amazon. A little about mechanical keyboards, the patents went out for the key mechanisms opening up the market for other manufacturers. The keyboard alone is worth the $40 keys are replaceable and feel amazing. only con is it does not have the additional number keys that some keyboards have but found this to be perfect for gaming because i can keep my mouse hand closer.

That PC actually looks decent for the price of $600. Buy I recommend building a PC your self, you'll save money and you'll learn about what's in your PC so you dont have problems upgrading. Theres ton of tutorials out there explaining how to build a PC. To find a PC to build that's in you're price range, just look up your price range with "gaming PC build 2019". Example, $600 gaming PC build 2019. They will list the parts, and usually have links to them and benchmarks to show how well the PC performs.

For monitors, if you're getting an nvidia card (if you don't know what brand your card is look it up) get a gsync monitor, if you're getting an AMD graphics card get a free sync monitor. Free sync monitors are usually a lot cheaper. Also, some free sync monitors work for g sync, but I dont know any good ones off the top of my head.

For your starting mouse and keyboard, and a headset and mouse pad, I highly recommend this. Its cheap for what you get. The mouse has 2 side buttons, a red led, a dpi button (if you dont know what dpi is, it stands for dots per inch and is essentially sensitivety) and adjustable weights. The keyboard is mechanical and has red back lights and media keys. The mouse pad is big and really smooth. The headset is decent and the mic quality is ok.
