The RT82 and RT85 are good value alternatives to the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC and Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC Esprit SB. The Fluance add the optical sensor speed controlled servo motor.
The RT83 does not sound any better than the RT82, basically the same cartridge, the new 2M Red just adds red plastic. The RT85 is only $50 more than the RT84 but includes the $119 acrylic platter.
My RT82 sounds great with a Schiit Mani.
