For optical drive, go buy a USB optical drive.

What? A dedicated C&C ODD? That's.. an interesting one. Why are no other discs allowed to go into that? Do they need to stay in to be able to run the game?
Well, there are almost no camo coloured cases anymore. But nothing a bit of plastidip can't fix. Video on how to use plasti dip.
I actually found one solid case that does everything you want with 2 ODDs available.
As for cases with just 1 ODD. There aren't as many as I actually thought there would. Almost all the cases that come out these days simply don't have it anymore.

Yes to use the installation disk you will need a disk reader/optical drive. You can purchase them that install into your drive bays or you can buy an external usb optical drive.

The problem I think is that Windows doesn't have a CD/DVD Disk driver. The drive now shows up in File Explorer, but instead of as a CD/DVD drive, it shows up as a "Generic USB Drive".

You can buy an external optical drive like this so you don’t have to have one in your case.
