The most common arguments I've heard are ergonomics and analog control / variable stick-extension. A controller can be held in one's lap (or, anywhere, really, if wireless) and it's a much more "condensed" configuration of buttons clustered in a tighter space, as opposed to KBM which is much more spread out and generally needs to be placed on a desk of some kind. (Unless you have a lapboard, which are freaking lit.)

The highest-skilled Dark Souls/Sekiro/DMC/PlatinumGames players (streamers/content creators) also have a tendency toward using Controllers over KBM, which suggests some kind of edge or advantage, whether that's in terms of comfort or access to certain actions, hard to say. But donguri, Distortion, Elajjaz, Lobos Jr etc, all use controllers as well.

The 2060 super is right next to the 1080 in terms of performance, though you do get the ray tracing and features that comes with the 2xxx series. That CPU is sick though! I think you can pull it off with the right amount of cooling in your case, you may want to OC your GPU a little bit and I'm sure you could pull similar results.

edit: I just want to let you know from my experience, couch PC gaming, unless you only plan to use your PC as a dedicated gaming machine, isn't the most fun thing to have to deal with. I bought this for when I needed to tab out or change settings in Windows, and it may look pretty convenient but having to set it up every time I wanted to play, swapping out my headphones and mouse back and forth, it isn't as glorious as you may think it is. Totally worth a try, but I just wanted to let you know what I thought of the couch pc-gamer experience.

FWIW; if I could go back in time I would have just used the money I spent on PC-to-TV peripherals for a slightly better monitor like this sexy mama jama.

I have been using the Roccat Sova for a couple of years now. It works great for gaming but I would like to make a few tweaks. The whole board could be a tad smaller. The keyboard should be centered. The left side position of the keyboard is fine for gaming as I always map keybinds to my left hand. But when needing to type, it would be better if it was centered. In fact, I think a lap board with a split and dropped key layout would be perfect. The mousepad is huge, it seems like all mousepads are huge these days? I have the mouse speed cranked up, I can move from one edge of the screen to the other with about an inch or two of mouse movement. I think if I went back to a desk, I would still use a lapboard. It is so much more comfortable.
