I upgraded my door speakers and disconnected the rears. I don't know why people are telling you that. The stock speaker mounts are perfect for using 6.5 speakers. All you have to do is clip out the stock speakers, drill holes in the stock speaker mount and screw your 6.5" speakers in. Here is a picture of my install.

I installed a pair of Infinity Kappa's and amped them with a rockford fosgate P300X2. They sound great. Highs are amazing. Bass is lacking, but that is what a sub is for.

You probably won't need a full 100wrms to those components for a 250w sub, a little wattage can go a far way with most door speakers. Here's my input anyways.

You have a few options:

  • You can get this which should do around 200 to the sub @4ohm and 50wx4 @4 ohm (150wx2 bridged highs @4 ohm)

    or this NVX that does 4 ohms: 70 watts x 4 chan. + 220 x 1 chan.

  • Alternatively you can run that amp you picked and something like this fosgate that does 100wx2 @ 4ohm
