I have one of these and it's absolutely stellar. Blows every other SD set I've used out of the water. I did some research to find out any tweaks for the service menu and I settled on one that I found online:

This will (according to the guy I found the suggestion from) lower the intensity of red push over the component inputs, making your colors more balanced. It seems to work. The next one I found on my own when messing around with different settings and seeing what they did:

This noticeably darkened my greens, which were too bright/yellowish before setting this.

Try it out and see if you like what it does in a general sense. Looking at the display through several stacked/folded layers of this filter gel will allow you to filter out all the non-blue colors and easily do your color and hue calibrations, and you can save it for other monitors and tvs you will need to calibrate in the future. A lot of later consumer trinitrons(and most pro monitors) allow you to switch the electron guns on and off individually in the service menu, removing the need for this, however there are many more great displays that lack this feature.
