$1,399 on Amazon for the lazy.
For $900 that PPI is pretty bad at 81 compared to most 27 and 34 inch monitors. It does have 144hz refresh rate but I would prefer the higher resolution model with the 120hz screen but it cost more for those reasons

It's the CRG9. I only have a Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 running the monitor, but I don't use 32:9 apect ratios in game unless it's single player. I'm more comfortable playing multiplayer games on 21:9 or 16:9 aspect ratios anyway. I only opted for a 32:9 monitor instead of 21:9 for productivity reasons outside of gaming.
> Beyond that an ultrawide is like having two monitors in one and dual monitors are infinitely better in almost every way.
Ehhhhh... It really isn't. I have a 3440x1440 ultrawide. It is great for gaming *if the game supports high FoVs/ultrawide. But it's a bit short of being two full monitors side by side. At best you can do two websites side by side. For using it for productivity purposes with two apps side by side, at a minimum, that would be 3840x1440, but 1920 isn't enough for a full productivity application, so I'd really want 2560 per side, ie 5120. Which is I guess why super-ultra-wide is a thing. What a monster.
What I will say for the ultra-wide though, is you have plenty of space to let one application really spread out.
I'm guessing they're either the Samsung CHG90 or the Samsung CRG9.
The Samsung CHG90 is 49", 144Hz (can be adjusted to 120Hz or 60Hz) and boasts a resolution of 3840x1080, while the CRG9 is also 49", locked at 120Hz but has a resolution of 5120x1440.
From what I've seen, the CHG90 retails at $990 USD and the CRG9 is priced at $1500 USD.
I've been looking to use these monitors for a new computer, so this picture piqued my interest as well, haha.
The Viotek doesn't seem to be the same resolution as the other ones - it's only the 1080p vertical resolution, which is really a pretty low DPI which reviews have said is pretty noticeable with text.
The reviews on the others all look amazing, I'd focus on price & what may or may not go on sale with black friday... Looks like amazon just dropped the CRG90 to 1050 today - here's a chart of the price history https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07L9HCJ2V
5120x1440, 120hz, 32:9, 49". Just dont look at pricing.

It's the Samsung CRG9. Looks like it's on sale this weekend at nearly every online retailer (Amazon, Newegg) for $1,049. I bought mine at Amazon because they offered me to buy it for 5 payments of $210.

This is a fantastic option. 5120x1440p which is the same as 2 27” monitors running 1440p.

I recently bought the Samsung CRG9 monitor (5120x1440)
I can see further than GGG wants me too. In certain areas I can even see beyond the map it self lol

I saw these were coming out this year so the AW became just a stopgap. Probably not for everyone, but I've already been using 3440 for years so I wanted to step up to 5120. This finally brings it without losing the 1440 vertical, and it's true 120hz.
I will say for the AW, it has a nice quality stand. That didn't cost $1000 like certain computer companies.
Why wait ....

It was on sale until yesterday @ CAD 1,650. I ordered it a couple of days ago, arriving next week.. really hoping it is defect free though thankfully amazon defective item return/exchange policy seems to be good from what others have said.
I'm guessing he got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Double-49-Inch-Monitor-LC49RG90SSNXZA/dp/B07L9HCJ2V/ref=asc_df_B07L9HCJ2V/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=362860443295&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17694364493577604160&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028249&hvtargid=aud-801381245258:pla-971036375952&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=71412173970&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=362860443295&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17694364493577604160&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028249&hvtargid=aud-801381245258:pla-971036375952 (Samsung crg9, 49 inch UW)

If you want Superwide and don't mind editing with a curve monitor the CRG90 is the best option

For Ultrawide I am not that familiar with the newer models
For normal widescreen the Pixio PX7 Prime is likely your best bet.
Ah ok.
And about the samsung.
nope. its 1440p https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Double-49-Inch-Monitor-LC49RG90SSNXZA/dp/B07L9HCJ2V

This one has been cheaper? I think the lowest I've seen it's $1600'ish CAD
What are you considering so far? I am also looking for a 49" monitor. and eyeing this one although I am not 100% on KVM functionality https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Double-49-Inch-Monitor-LC49RG90SSNXZA/dp/B07L9HCJ2V/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=49+super+ultrawide+monitor&qid=1573762879&s=electronics&sr=1-3

depends on what kind of work and how much budget you're willing to spend.

There's a 1440p version of the same monitor for ~$500 more.
Sounds like you're making a killer build. Not familiar with blender? What does that do? The i9 is great for multithreaded applications like photoshop or after effects.
And yes, the 2080ti is an example match up for that card. I'd definitely recommend the EVGA FTW3. It's not cheap but it's the best silicon, with the best cooler, with a high boost clock, and with the best customer service which is something that is important for such an expensive component. Sometimes they do go on sale for like $60 off.
That monitor is an excellent pick for that card. There is also the LG ultragear ultrawide 144hz monitor but it's had quality issues so no longer recommended. Or you could go full ultrawide masterrace and go with the CRG9. It's popular on /r/ultrawidemasterrace that's for sure.
This is the monitor I have

To answer my own question, yes, I can confirm that the screen is released and even currently available in the US. A dozen screens just appeared on Amazon.com, and I snapped one up:
