That will get you about 1400MB/s read in PCIe slot #4. However, as noted you can’t boot from NVME, you need AHCI (which are hard to find).
You could also get Amfeltec’s Squid card which is x16 and can fit 4 SM951’s. That will get you just short of 6000MB/s read in RAID 0.
ah, yeah. So would there be any incompatibility issues with that motherboard and the samsung M.2 SATA SSD? The Crucial has an M.2-2280, and Samsung does have an M.2-2280 500 gb SSD for $300 as well as the M.2 SATA 500 gb SSD for $100.
