Thanks everyone...!
I've had good luck with Samsung in the past, and I've had my eye on the 49" one: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-49NU8000-Flat-Smart-2018/dp/B079NRXDKQ

Thanks /u/Radiophonic117 for the heads up on renaming the HDMI 2 to PC. I've found that any Samsung I've used in the past has to have the port name DVI or DVI PC, and not just left blank

So the Samsung I listed above seems to be an 8000 series, and as such, should have the "VVR". Did I get this right?

Thanks everyone, again.

You won't find a 1080P that does 120hz. (Honestly, its tough to find 1080P Tv's at all these days, unless you're looking at 32" or less in size) That being said, you can find 4k TV's that will accept a 1080P 120hz signal.

Check out Rtings.com and look through the highly rated TV's listed there.

One of the better options in my quick look is this Sony X900F which is about $900 for a 48" model. or $1100 for a 55" model. This is a pretty nice Tv, with low input lag, and a fully back lit display with local dimming.

If you're looking to spend less, check out the [LG 49SK8000PUA] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079TV1JWV) or the Samsung 49NU8000 Both of these are cheaper than the sony because they are edge lit, with local dimming, meaning black level across the screen won't be as good as the Sony.

Wait, where did you see that? It was listed as a 120hz TV on Amazon and on the website for the TV it states in the specifications "Motion Rate 120".

Samsung 49"

This is a nice set.

But I would use the money saved and get an Amazon Cube. MOST Tv's are not there yet with the built in interference (performance wise). You will be sold the first time you walk into a room and say "Alexa, turn on the tv" or "Alexa, tune to ABC" and your will is commanded.
