And for a fictional baseball book, [Shoeless Joe] (https://www.amazon.com/Shoeless-Joe-W-P-Kinsella/dp/0395957737/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1525455369&sr=1-1&keywords=shoeless+joe&dpID=5176oWc2vXL&preST=_SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch) (the book Field of Dreams is based on) is outstanding.

For fiction... you MUST read Shoeless Joe. The Natural, For Love of the Game, and Bang the Drum Slowly aren't bad either... I'm sure you've seen all the movies too.
