FWIW, I could have saved ~$30 by not switching out the power outlet and using a USB power adapter brick. But it was worth the extra cost for the "minimal" look, and now I have USB in the bathroom in case I need to power something else.
You should post this on its own in /r/OculusGo. People clearly are interested in external battery solutions and I think yours is really good. Believe it or not this thread is the most top voted post on /r/OculusGo since ever.

Where can I find the lighter color Velcro ties?
I wish it had a little hidden USB cord that you could unclip or something that would go up and plug right into your VOID. Some synergistic features with the VOID like that would really put this over the top for me.
I'm still getting one for my setup as well. I'm going to try this cable to jump from that side USB into the VOID. Hopefully it's not too awkward with such a small cable.

Make sure you are using an OTG cable, in my case, I have a tiny OTG cable, Micro USB to female USB A (like one in the link below) and then had the sound adapter connected.
