Headphones like Shures don't have the mass recognition of something like Bose, and would thus be much less likely to attract thieves, but are also very good at blocking out sound. (They're not active noise canceling like Bose for instance, it's that the way they go in your ears is functionally equivalent to earplugs.)
Never mind Beats ;avoid Bose ಠ_ಠ ,you can do a lot better for the equivalent price.
these shure headphones are a good buy and replacable cable is a very nice feature.Ask around /r/audiophile and they will put you on the right track
This is my EDC when I wear a suit.
I don't often carry the headphones though.

I myself have and love the Shure SE315's. You should also pose this question to /r/audiophile. There are a lot of experts there that may have better recommendations than me.
Whatever you do, stay the hell away from Beats Audio.
Good article. While they got the CX 300s (which actually didn't impress me), they did overlook the Sennheiser CX 200s though.
They're under $20 (I've seen them on sale for as little as $9.00) and they are outstanding IMO.
The CX300s sound way more "muddy" to me, while the CX200s have more of a kick. I notice more detail, as in smaller more subtle noises are pronounced while not being loud. The CX300s almost seem to eliminate these sounds, and I feel like I'm actually missing out.
The only ones I like more are my these Shure IEMs that are nearly $200 (granted, I got them on sale for $80). They are actually very similar in quality of sound IMO, however with the Shure's you can hear every last detail. The breath of a flute-player in an orchestra that I wouldn't have picked up on anything else I own.
But, I prefer the CX200s for one very important reason: They're cheap as hell. Break them, whatever. Who cares? Break the $200 Shures? Misery.
So I mostly don't use the Shures, they're more of a once-in-a-while treat.
TLDR: I suggest the Sennheiser CX 200s when it comes to bang for your buck.
Recommend me an IEM... I was thinking one of the following:
RHA T10i
RHA MA750
Shure SE315-K
Shure SE215-K
What is the best headphone for the price? I would prefer good isolation and I usually listen to hip hop & 90's alternative and the occasional house. I have ath m50x and sounmagic e10 would I like but want an upgrade. I normally wear them at work, gym, or around campus.
Thanks to all the kind people in the previous few threads, I've narrowed down my new IEM choice to the following, leaning heavily towards the GR07 mkII (non-BE). Would love a second opinion revolving around build quality and overall sound quality. Thanks!
GR07 mkII (Classic, Non-BE)
IM02
IE60
SE315
> i too am an audiophile with the highest hopes for an enjoyable listening experience while riding but based on everything said here i have pretty low expectations.
Just get some Shure in ear monitors. They'll isolate about 30db and offer a pretty flat response.
I've used klipsch S4's and some Jlabs stuff too. The klipch's had better sound quality and comfort, while the Jlabs are much more durable(I'm approaching well over a year with the same pair and no issues).
But, as always, a pair of Shure monitors would likely be your best bet.
