I think there are some that are even more precise (this one has a sensitivity of 0.1 grams, but I believe you can find some which have a sensitivity of 0.01 grams) but this one is enough for me. The battery is also very long lasting, I got mine in October 2015 and they're still working.

What you want to do is build your simulation in OpenRocket as you build a kit. Weigh each part, and then use that figure to override the weight value. Then, as you form sub-assemblies (such as a motor mount, etc.) weigh that and then override the component weight to account for glue. Continue this process all the way through the end including sealer, primer, and paint.
This is far and away the best way to learn how to build an accurate simulation in OpenRocket. Then you can use this knowledge to design and build your full-scratch rockets. You should apply this same process -- overriding all part and component weights -- as you construct your scratch builds as well.
