Well gosh, thanks! Just trying to share some love.

Truth be told, I am carrying... please hold I'll check my bag... eight notebooks at the moment. They are all different and have different uses.

I use the mini ones for projects (one for ideas for my Raspberry Pi, another for Adobe Lightroom thoughts and tricks), both regular Field Notes, grid. One is for ideas for the house, which happens to be the Expedition (because OMG dot grid!). A nicer Cahier for a project to be gifted at some point, and an aforementioned Wal-Mart el-cheapo for making a note, tearing out, and handing to someone.

Then the more durable Colors FN, a new page for every day, just my running task list (deposit check, get groceries, fix window screen, etc.).

Next, I have a notebook for work (I'm an engineer) that is a promo notebook branded for Wonderware, and try as I might, I can't find them anywhere commercially (but I'm pretty sure it's this, in black). They are PERFECT. Stiff board covers, pretty good paper, double ring binding, perfect for walking around a plant and taking notes. I'd order a box of 100, maybe. I'm on my sixth one, and the vendor won't give me any more without taking more training, so I'm SOL. I did buy this as the next-in-line replacement, though, and am excited to try it out.

This is my current journal (orange, medium), just for me and all my thoughts and shit and rants and y'know - journal stuff, and it comes with me everywhere. Been using it for over a year and it's a champ. I had to tape the corners back on with gaffer's tape. It's been halfway around the world, sailed the Carribean for a week in the salt spray and sun, been wet and dry and wet and tossed around. I would absolutely buy it again except the most awesome secret santa /u/leinistar sent me THIS ABSOLUTE BEAUTY in the Pens and Stationary exchange and I squealed like a 10 year old girl (I'm such a sucker for dot grid, f'real). Anyway, back to the Piccadilly - it takes ink like a mofo - just got a Pilot fountain pen that just gushes and generally bleeds through everything (even my work notebook- sniff) but this book takes it like a champ.

Bonus: Recently saw this website and consequently picked up this notebook. Decent price, great concept, but absolute shite quality paper and covers. Disappointment, but I'll still use it. I had to go through nine writing utensils before I found an acceptable compromise of not-bleed-through and not-paper-scoring. (Pilot G-2 0.7mm, incidentally)
