In order of price:

  • Creative Aurvana Live! (NOT THE LIVE 2).

  • Audio Technica ATH-WS1100

  • Phillips Fidelio X2 The Fidelios L1 are also good on bass.

  • Beyerdynamic DT770

  • V-MODA M100

  • Massdrop x Fostex TH-X00 (Mahogany have the best bass, Purplehearts have the most bass, Ebony have the most controlled bass)

  • Fostex TH900 Simply, the best bass headphone money can afford. Its craaaaaazy.

There are others that people like to recommend the old Denons, specially the D2000 that can be found cheaper in Ebay, but its a pain in the butt to find, same with the MDR-XB1000.

Some people will also mention some JVC ones, but i havent had the chance to try them. Btw some people will recommend the HE400i and please no stay away from them. Stay away from Planars in general if you want Basshead levels of Bass, the LCD-2 Pre-Fazor being the only exception (i tried it like a year ago so i dont remember a lot but i liked it).

They area pair of Sony's discontinued XB1000's, and you can get a pair of these monsters yourself! Amazon. Careful, they're considered "rare" in the U.S. because Sony stopped making them very quickly. You most likely have to buy them from China/Japan/Korea as that's where the only ones left are.

As of 2010 they are the worlds largest headphones, sporting a 70mm bass driver and 100mm cups the entire padding fits over the top and around your ears. Creating extremely deep bass and ow boy does it sound amazing. Just having these things around your neck allows you to feel the bass emitting from them.

Did I mention you can use them as a neck pillow? So comfy :3

I went shopping on boxing day like two or three years ago and I saw some Sony headphones on a shelf, they were marked for around 300-400$. I didn't want to spend that much on headphones but a sales person saw me and asked if I wanted to try them on. I ended up doing it and they felt great. They're really big, all the way around the ears.

Guy said they had been on shelf for a while so he asked if I wanted them for 100$. I jumped on them. They were mdr-xb1000. They don't make them anymore sadly, I did a search once and they sell them on ebay for like 400$ u.s lol(I'm canadian)
