I use this one on my S7 Edge. I think it's probably close to what you are looking for. It's got kind of a rubber/grippy texture to it and I love it, never have a problem with it slipping out of my hand. It's definitely a slim fit so not a ton of protection but I rarely if ever drop my phone so just wanted something with basic protection and good grip.
Edit: Found an S7 version:

I bought a hard plastic spigen at the store when I bought my phone just so I had one. I love it and am using it permanently. Great access to the buttons.

I have this and it is awesome.
This one is good too for those who like slimmer cases
This one here. Make sure you select the Thin Fit Shell case. I've had it for a few weeks now and I love it. Just be sure though that it's for the S6 Edge, not S7 Edge.
Edit: Found this for the S7 Edge.

Have one for my S7 and I love it
This is my preferred slim case:

It is much more grippy than the Turata case, and the thickness is just about the same. You can also run full size screen protectors on this one. The new coral blue color is very good looking.
That's for the S7. Here's for the Edge:

I used this one for 6 or 7 months before I dropped it and it cracked the corner of the case. Saved my phone but it wouldn't stay in the case anymore. III prefer this one because it only adds 2mm of thickness (check out the description) and a ton of grip. It's made of plastic, but the texture will fool you.
After that, I had this lying around after a sale. It's just rubbery, super grippy, and still pretty minimal. Plus now I can see my dbrand skin lol. Definitely keeps my palms off the edge though.
Before this phone I didn't like cases either, so I really can't recommend any of those premium cases because they add too much thickness. Spigen is a reputable case maker too, and they have their own metal cases if you're interested. Good luck!
at home and in safe places im rocking a dbrand matte black back skin and skinomi clear screen protector

and for days/activities i may be more worried about drops and rough conditions i have a Vena Slim Tough Wave armor case

Most caselogic and spigen work. Though the plastic ones from Caseology do not and they are thin. Seems to be if they are a hard plastic shell type case, it will interfere.
Both of these work:

i sometimes alternate between case and caseless. i've dropped my phone twice out of clumsiness, and luckily only have small knicks on the top corners of my phone. if you're afraid of bulkiness of a case, i'd recommend spigen's thin fit or crystal liquid cases. they offer some protection without the bulk.
Not OP, but I use this same charging pad and have a case on an s7 edge. It's a little finicky, but it definitely works with a case.
Here's the case I use:

I've yet to find one. This is the thinnest one I have and it still won't fit.
