I'm in the market for a chair and nearly bought (thanks OP for the code. After reviewing Amazon critical reviews and seeing reports on this thread and previous threads for this chair, I have to pass. I'm unwilling to settle even tho it's a good deal.
I bought [this chair] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OCSNMO2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ImjUzb23PB94R) about a year ago and I couldn't be happier. It had all of the right features (adjustable arm rests, lock-in recline, etc.) and it's well ventilated which is a must have here in Florida. It was the best chair I could find for under $200, it's a steal at $160.
It is a Staples Hyken chair. It seems Staples doesn't carry it on their site anymore which is a bummer because I have had two of these and they are fantastic for the price. Got it for around 120$. Seems they have some on Amazon though they are more expensive, here.
This is the one I got from Staples, it goes on sale all the time there. I got mine for $119, its got great ergonomics and its mesh so you wont get swamp ass.. It does its job at being comfortable but without looking like those cringe ass "gaming" chairs. Something to keep an eye on.
Hey there! Fellow wheelchair user here and I've had similar issues. After seeing a thread about how supportive the back is I took the leap on the Staples Hyken chair. It's far more supportive, even with my spine curvature. The only issue I have is my hips/butt area feel a little sore after a couple hours so I have to shift around every so often, just like any chair.

I have the Staples Hyken office chair, and it is extremely comfortable and only $135 on Amazon right now. The mesh is slightly springy which makes for an extremely nice feeling chair, and you won't overheat sitting in it for long periods of time. Unfortunately it doesn't have an adjustable headrest, so it won't work for everyone. The arm rests also only have two settings, high or low. BUT, if those two things don't bother you it is awesome.
Well honestly you would know better than me how well something would hold up to a cat. Bonded Leather is cool for a short period of time, but after awhile it peels off so im not sure how well that would hold up to a cat either.
But there is a couple chairs id recommend on amazon.

If someone is looking for a cheaper option, consider this guy. I went with a mesh bottom so that my farts could pass through with ease, in addition to avoiding swamp ass. Had it for a couple years and no signs of wear after daily use, and it's decently adjustable. I's sure you can find it cheaper than this link as well.
