A company I used to work for used Panduit plastic conduits for their industrial cabinets. There were always chunks left over since they cut them to size; I grabbed a few and screwed them into the legs of my desk and ran everything through that. The wife was insanely happy.
That's also when I learned to not use ZIP ties.
Not my picture but this is what I plan on doing
E: Something like this will go along way towards making whatever you decide on look much cleaner.
This stuff works awesome. Comes in a variety of sizes and a few colors. You can hide all the cables and still pull slack out when you need to easily. Just screw it up to the bottom side of the shelve.

Looks ok but gluing wires to anything would give me anxiety. Not to mention if one falls off the glue, you have to get the whole glue gun set up back out, plug it in, wait for to heat up, and glue it back. I'd recommend something like this.
I use the StarTech cable raceway and it has done absolute wonders for my cable management. I have a sit/stand desk with no back, so having cables hanging down from my desk was not an option. So I got this raceway and attached it to the underside of my desk using some Scotch mounting tape. Some of my notes:
Here's a link to the raceway: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008VFAP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here's a video using the raceway: https://youtu.be/C0d1LHQpauI
Good luck!
I have a P5 mounted to the wall. I use this mounted to the wall running down to my desk: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008VFAP/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That way I can have all the cables exit the channel at the places they need to plug in, I really like the setup a lot.
I have 200 feet of speaker wire and 100 feet of electrical wire I can't run in walls in a rental apartment. Here is what I use: Square Conduit and Corner Conduit
It’s called cable duct. This is just a piece left over from a job at work. You could get it on Amazon. There’s various brands, you could sometimes find a scrap piece on eBay.

No problem, yeah it definitely helps to see it before you buy it. I never adjust the legs to standing. Not saying you can't, but it would be a huge hassle, as you'd have to adjust each leg individually. However, I'm a tall guy, so I like that I can make this desk a LOT taller than any desk at OfficeDepot.
For cable management, I bought:
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-AD2X2-2x2-Inch-Wiring-Raceway/dp/B00008VFAP/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1456856627&sr=8-11&keywords=cable+channel
and attached it to the bottom with some short wood screws. It does the job ok, but there are probably cheaper options, not to mention I didn't measure and had to cut it to size with a hacksaw as it was WAY longer than I thought it'd be. Does an OK job of hiding cables though, and pretty sturdy. I believe ikea sells something similar for pretty cheap though. Maybe look while you're there:

I bought Panduit off amazon and screwed it to the bottom of my desk in the back works great.
Definitely looks cool.. do you know what I mean by a race way? White cover for everything.. makes your PC look like it's floating =D Like THIS
I just attach a length of Panduit cable organizer to the underside of the desk. Keeps the cables tidy and out of the way, and if (or likely when) I need access I just pop the cover off to access the cables.
