The HyperX Cloud should be really good.
Personally I own a Siberia v2 which I really like though it hurts my left ear after a couple of hours and the mic is broken (I think the mic part may be my own fault though I'm usually careful with my stuff). SteelSeries also recently made the Siberia v3 which I'm going to assume is better than the v2 though I've never tried it :)

SteelSeries Siberia v3
Tried and true. :P
Supremo comfort, Open Back, Easy mute switch, retractable mic which is pretty decent, and Four Pole Connectivity + PC mic/headphone adapter cable included as well.
Tek Syndicate Gaming Headsets Suck! is also a great video to see whats out there as far as options go. The video is year old so those same headphones are probably even cheaper now. :)
People will hate me for what I am about to say.
I suggest the [Steelseries Siberia V3] (http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-v3-Gaming-Headset-Black/dp/B00O06ZMRG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1421564921&sr=1-1&keywords=siberia+v3&pebp=1421564924079&peasin=B00O06ZMRG). Yes, I think many headphones sound better. But the comfort... holy shit the comfort.

Budget: Close to 100$ if you think is worth it for me.
Source: Computer and cellphones, the usual jack size of 3.5mm.
Requirements for Isolation: I have heard some nice things about open headphones, and I have always thought that headphones has to be over-ear.
Preferred Type of Headphone: Over-ear. With microphone, and competitive (positional sound cues).
Preferred tonal balance: Balanced? Not sure what can I expect from different tones.
Past headphones: Turblebeach PX22, I paid too much for these, one of my worst decisions for 150$ from GameStop (I am not the smartest). It was ok, never complained. But the first time I tried them, I expect that seal feeling when you can't hear anything from outside, which doesn't make sense since I am thinking in buying a pair of open headphones.
Preferred Music: Heavy music, metal and rock, but music if not my main priority.
What would you like to improve on from your set-up: Right now I am using a microphone cord with ONE earbud. Anything decent is better than what I am using right now.
I am buying from Amazon, and my first option will be this. Cheapest option following the gaming headphones list. It is discontinued, so I would buy the V3 of the same series.
If this comment is 1 or 2 days old, I already ordered the one above, so don't worry.
