Weekend workspace. I'm an Oracle/SQL Server DBA and usually write some code/processes to catch up during the weekend.

-Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (i5 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM)

-(x2) Dell P2411H 24" Monitors

-Sabrent Docking Station which allows me to connect one monitor via HDMI and another via DVI. Also has 6 USB ports for my keyboard, chargers, etc. It allows you to use it as a stand for the SP4 but I prefer to use the kickstand as it's a bit lower. The dock connects to the SP4 via USB and I've had no fan/slowness issues from the monitors running as part of the extended desktop.

A buddy of mine came over for a painting session and to give me tips. I didnt have any good lights, so I got a pair of these:

Turns out they are really quite fantastic. They adjust all over the place. Fold up flat when I put them away. and the intensity and hue can be adjusted. When I painted solo, I used them together and ended up with what I now know as something of a light arch

It's great! This is the one I have. The touch control works very well. It has 5 different color modes (basically a spectrum from a bright LED to a softer yellow color) that you change by tapping on the icon above the brightness display, and a USB charging port on the back.

It swivels at the base to rotate left and right, folds at the base of the neck to flatten/make more upright, swivels at the top part to adjust angle of light AND folds at the top of the neck for compact stowing.

Edit: Forgot the most important part- it serves as a headphones stand, too! Ha

It's pretty nice. My only annoyance is having to cycle through light modes instead of having dedicated buttons for cool white, warm white, nightlight, etc. and having the power button doubling as the lowest light intensity on the slider so you have to hold it to turn the light off.

The LEDs are long-lasting, fully dimmable, and can change color from pure white to a soft yellow. There's also a USB port built into the lamp so you can change a device from the lamp itself. Finally, the whole thing is on a swinging arm that can pivot and rotate however you want. After looking at several lamps that were similar to this one, I think this is the best of the bunch. So I bought it and I love it. It's a great lamp, definitely worth the price!!

You can point it at the wall in order to get a diffuse light across the whole room...or point it directly at your table for when you're working on something intricate like writing or crafting.
