IMO, you should get a TCL Roku TV if you are on a budget. If good HDR is important to you get the P series. The P series offers one of the best smart tv interfaces out right now, 3 HDMI ports, deep black levels (not OLED good) but good for the price. If you just want a good 4k set, and don't care about high quality HDR, get the S series. They are both good values at amazon right now with out a black friday deal. I'm not sure but I doubt they will be discounted much more. OLED is top of the line in terms of picture quality. Currently OLED is only made by LG and Sony. I prefer the LG mainly for its smart tv interface but both are remarkable. Perfect black levels are among the many positive qualities of OLED. Both the 2017 OLEDs I mentioned support 4k Dolby Vision and HDR 10 (so does the TCL P series.) Just be aware of burn in with OLEDs. Might want to get a warranty for your expensive TV. Good luck!

But the P series is a little better with its backlighting AND it has Dolby Vision if thats important to you.
The S has HDR 10 and is fine for my needs. I have a 4k DVD player and watch a lot of 4K HDR Netflix content and for what I paid (650.00 last Nov) it's a great bargain. I play a lot of Overwatch on PS4 too and its beautiful (has game mode with low input lag). My friend has a 55" version and really likes it too. This is my second TCL. I also have a 25" HD non smart tv that I bought a few years back when they first started out. It still works and has a great picture.

Is it perfect? Absolutly not. Is it the best in this price range. I personally believe so.
TCLs (Partnered with Roku) are also excellent TVs for the money.

It’s a 65s405, close in quality to the p-series. I got it on sale at Walmart for around $700 about 6 months ago.

But it doesn't say HDR anywhere. It's a 2017 model. Is this going to be optimal with my PS4 Pro?
