Cut out the leaking portion with one of these.

Replace with this, using these push on fittings.

Easy peasy.

Edit: For larger drain pipes:

Cut out the leaking portion with this or this, then replace with PVC in whatever size you need, using these with this glue. If the section you cut out was cast iron/steel/copper, than just use these screw on couplers to join the new PVC to the old pipe, without any glue.
