If you want decent sound for <$50, go with Chinese IEMs. They're worth their weight in gold IMO. I'll leave it up to you to read reviews to see which one is right for you, though the three below are well regarded by the community at /r/headphones.

  • KZ ZS3 ($24)

  • KZ ZST ($28)

  • KZ ATE ($23)

If you're cool with buying from Amazon.com and possibly paying duties, though, then go for the Tennmak Pros ($30 US). In general, Amazon.com has a much wider variety of choices regarding headphones/earphones, and much better pricing, but you'll definitely have to deal with shipping and the shit that comes with buying stuff not from Canada (don't you love paying an extra $20 on shit you buy from the US?).

If you just want earbuds (not in-ears), then go with the VE Monks. They're $16, cheap, and sound decent.

EDIT: Also, if you want to know what I use, I typically wear Shure SE215s with the include Shure foam tips, or if I'm alone, Koss Porta Pros. Both sound decent, and the Shures are fantastic for isolation so I don't have to hear screaming/music/loud yelling when I'm trying to study at 11 pm (they're literally earplugs when I have low music on), but are over your budget of $50.

The SE215 is just so so, and for me, the $29.99 Tennmak Pro Dual Driver IEM sounds better and is more comfortable to wear. I have both and since getting the Tennmak Pro I never go back to the SE215.

I'm also a side sleeper and the best headphones I've come across for sleeping in are the Tennmak Pros. They are similar in design to the Shure 215s, though they are about a quarter of the cost and more compact.

I have not tried the Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd that /r/bubblejuiceman just mentioned but they sound like a really good, potentially better, option. I'm going to order those right now out of sheer curiosity.

Mee m6 pro gen 2 are water resistant and have replaceble cablws (2 in the box).

Tennmak pro are also good with replaceable cables, but don't sound as great

u/account4werk · 2 pointsr/headphones

You should be able to swap the cord/cables if you need to, but I find the stock cable sufficient length to not be "pulled" or getting caught on stuff when in full motion. I'm sure you can find specifics at the link below:

sypmhonized is not good.

for ~30$ you can get something like the Tennmak Pro or Brainwavz Delta

u/InhailedYeti · 2 pointsr/headphones

I'm not an IEM user but the frequently recommend/highly regarded cheap IEM's are the Tennmak Pro and the KZ ZST. The Tennmak is $30 USD and the ZST is $20. I don't know how easy they would be for you to obtain or how the price will translate but they're worth looking into.

Could you provide a link of where you got them? I found these from amazon, but it says 2017 edition, is there supposed to be a difference or something?

u/dankmemespipedreams · 1 pointr/headphones

Budget - Flexible budget honestly. Just want something of decent quality, no idea how high it can go but probably won't go over $300

Source - iPad Air 2

Requirements for Isolation - Kinda whatever, used at home.

Preferred Type of Headphone - I want to try truly wireless in-ears.

Preferred tonal balance - As balanced as possible sounds nice. But I likely wouldn't be able to tell the difference between any of the tone differences.

Past headphones - I doubt this is very relevant but - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XFWFFS7/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like these and still use them.

Preferred Music - Listen to anything, really.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I want to try something truly wireless because watching shows on the iPad at night I tend to get tangled up or rip out my headphones or can't find the wires etc. I'm thinking the truly wireless things would be nice for convenience. I'm hoping the bluetooth connection will be stable for something not far away from the iPad and only used while being still as this is the only issue I've seen the most of in reviews on amazon, at least.

Honestly, if you want durable, my rule is nothing without detachable cables. With that in mind, these are super cheap and you can change cables if needed

Wide sound stage, good isolation, nice build quality. Pretty good for $30.

u/ahriik · 1 pointr/Metalcore

Tennmak Pros! Extremely solid chi-fi offering with a removable cable that increases longevity. Comes with foam tips too!

They are a tad on the bassy side, but still provide excellent clarity. For this price I haven't heard anything better.

Budget - $60
Source - Phone/Laptop
Type - In-Ear
Need Isolation - Doesn't matter
Preference - Warm balanced sound, strong build, sticks in the ears.
Genre - Everything from Classical to Jazz to Heavy Metal.
Past Headphones - Tennmak Pro

My Tennmak Pro's cable broke and if there's a decent pair of IEMs available around my price range, I'd rather buy those than a replacement cable.
Thanks!

u/matthewfjr · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

I think there was a fraud seller/product of these going around for a bit. Should be solid earbuds but can probably find better and/or cheaper going chi-fi. Gonna give a shout-out to my favorite pair, Tennmak Pro. No mic (was when I got mine but its trash) and the sound is amazing for $30. Would easily reorder if they broke.

Tennmak Pro : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFWFFS7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-pjKBbE7HTPDD

I own them and they sound pretty good for what I paid for them :)

Budget: $50 (Amazon only)

Source: Moto Z

Type of Headphone: IEM. Already Bluetooth or can be converted.

Music: Most everything. I listen to a lot. I do like bass though.

What I need are some Bluetooth IEMs. I have some already picked out but figured I'd ask here to help narrow it down. Here is what I have so far:

Already Bluetooth

  • soundPEATS Q12

  • Anker Curve

  • TaoTronics BH16

    Can be converted

  • KZ ZST

  • KZ ZS3

  • KZ ZS5

  • Tannmak Pro

Would be converted with one of these cable, although I don't know which is best

  • KZ Cable

  • Braided Cable

  • Sport Cable

I guess overall my questions are:

Should I go with some that are already Bluetooth, or some iems that I can swap out the cable for a Bluetooth one?

If I go for one where I can convert it, which should I choose? I like good all around sound quality with an emphasis on bass that is clear but you can feel.

Which Bluetooth cable do I choose? There's about 3 different ones and they are all different.
