I'm not an expert but I can recommend a couple things that helped me with a similar situation.
1 - Cognitive Behavioral therapy... which you probably already know about since you're in a sub like this, but still have to mention it. This work book is quite helpful: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FOT65TC/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?ie=UTF8&btkr=1
2 - Try the Pennebaker Writing exercise. https://www.utexas.edu/features/archive/2005/writing.html
This helped me move on from a psychologically traumatic event related to a sexual experience I had. That event had stuck with me because I hadn't really made sense of it or processed it properly; this writing exercise helped me make sense of it in a way that I could move past it.
Sorry if this doesn't directly address your concern, but I hope it helps.
Slow reply, but I recommend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to deal with invasive thoughts
