I used to drink a lot of fruit smoothies too, and then I watched "Her." A character mentioned something about smoothies, and it caused me to research and think. Basically, smoothies are great for getting nutrients, but they break down the fiber which is one of the most important things in fruit. As a smoothy, you're just getting the sugar without the fiber.
