well yes sir, you are making some valid points.

Interesting fact, the American founders, were the puritans, the idea that America was founded on freadom is a marketing lie. They floked to America because they felt that Europe was too Free!
The governments refused to bring down the harsh dictacts that those bible junkies demanded, so they said screw you to Europe..we gon' start our own country.

America was settled (initially) not by people who wanted less rules (and more freedom) but believed in more rules (and less freedom)... tho don't mention that to an American because it will likely confuse them...their education system being what it is.

tho in honesty..regarding your first point.."the concept of state [...] is foreign to people outside europe"
its upside down my friend...
there is a brilliant book called the breaking of nations (http://www.amazon.com/The-Breaking-Nations-Twenty-First-Century/dp/0802141641)..

Europe being at the fore front of Global culture as it has always been, is the first (and only) region that exists in a Post-nationalist phase...(thats nothing to do with the political idiology of 'nationalism' btw)...Peace through transparency...it's a beautilful thing.

it is (i swear down) everywhere else that is only able to percieve the world through the close minded port holes of nationalism (again not to be confused with political right-wing nationalism) and Europe alone that has managed to truly begin upon the road of...
"these people and my people, my neighbours and my neighbours neighbours, we are all brother-cousins and we will stand together, stand strong, hold each other to account, and while FULLY ACCEPTING OUR DIFFERENCES protect and fight for that which we hold common.

freedom to do what the fuck you like.

yes...you are right, due to the escelated influx of people with a different mindset (read religion) it is a chalange for our governements....

but do not for a moment think that there are not smart people now working on this, yes, slow to take action, but the action they will take will be of a nature that will be both effective and powerful and cause ripples in the wider world

(spoiler, its going to be a major push to promote the teachings of the Quran over the teachings of the Hadith...with the ultimate goal to raise Islam out of it's medival way by promoting it's own holy book as holy - if you ever read the Quran, you wil see it is the most hippy book ever (doesn't even ban alcohol, only says "spend no more than your surplus on drinking and gambling, and think about it)...all the incompatible islam things are from the Hadith)

through their own religion will they be indoctrinated to our ways.

as for Africa...yea you are right in part.
truth be told, abandoning Africa was the biggest dick move European governments could do.

because instead of Christian governemnts running africa, who were bound by morals, and public oversight, the continent was left to be run by corperations, with no oversight, and profit as their only moral..

Africa is pretty much owned by china now tho, Europe dropped the ball on what could/should have been a golden oppertunity
