Not sure this question was directed at me but I've taken a few lessons, there is a lot of terminology and parts to the boat to know, this book is pretty good The Complete Sailing Manual, 4th Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/1465462570/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_PMWYDb3HFB3CB. Books aside getting hands on is best, I think most coastal places with marinas have a sailing school near by.
