That's a pretty neat story. I'm not sure if it's yours, but thanks for sharing that. My wife and I have been terrible about keeping up on it, but our church has been going through the book, The Kneeling Christian, this year as a springboard into a deeper prayer life, and one of the chapters puts a focus on the expectation that, assuming your "praying with God's will in mind," your prayer will be (and already is) answered. If you haven't ever read it, it's great. The digital version on Amazon is only a dollar (used to be free).

It has amazed me in my own life how faithful God has been to me even when I think I least deserve it. I run a side business selling things on eBay, and I'd been looking into a receipt scanner for a one day to help me become more organized. I often curate our local thrift store looking for items of interest, and I half-jokingly asked in prayer earlier that day that there might be a scanner in the store (they are most expensive than what I'm willing to pay on eBay, even used). Low and behold, there was a receipt scanner sitting right on the shelf in the electronics section, and I know it was just put out that day because I was already at that store yesterday.

It's such a simple thing, seemingly unimportant, but it seems God thought otherwise. I don't know why for sure, but God has been proving to me over and over again lately that He really does care about little things. I wish I was more faithful to Him than I have been, but man do we serve a good God!
