I jumped into a technology SDR at 18 years old. Got promoted to an account executive closing very large enterprise deals in less than a year.
Just specialize your education in the sales role while improving your communication & social skills. You should be able to land an SDR internship at a company within a few months. From there just work on getting promoted to a full-time position or finding a company that will.
If you're mature enough, there is no reason to waste your time and money in college. Just get a head start and you won't regret it.
I suggest you read The Lean Career. It talks about how to start a career in sales without college. https://www.amazon.com/Lean-Career-Advance-Change-Modern/dp/1691555827
