Take a look at Grant Morrison's runs of Animal Man and Doom Patrol from the late 80's as both have had a major influence on the weird and meta flavor of these crossovers.

Morrison's The Multiversity and Dial H by China Mieville were also strange and epic in equal measures and are some of my all-time favorites.

I might be more hyped for The Milk Wars than Doomsday Clock right now, this shit is fantastic

I am looking through Amazon just to see how these books are collected, I was wondering what the difference between the Multiversity and Multiversity Deluxe Edition is, other than Deluxe edition being hard cover?
