This book, Hands down opened my eyes. Went from loss to profit overnight.

Also register for a practice account on something like eToro. Have a play. It's only Virtual Money.

Have a look at Trader249 also. Some good advice there. He uses Stockopedia and it's well worth the money.

Same age as you....OK so what I would do with that is, Have some fun with it. Go over to somewhere like eToro (This would be your high risk) But you have some fun along the way, Learning a bit as you go. Read some books. THIS particular book I cannot recommend enough.

eToro is my "Play Money" now... I have some in Crypto's for a laugh, Side story, I am kicking myself that I was one of the first 12 people registered on the first Bitcoin forum (BitCoinTalk) and I was testing code and optimizing it to mine on GPU's... I gave it up because I didn't think it would be worth it. I had some free Bitcoins, Wish I had held onto them anyway I digress. I love learning about the markets. It's good fun *sometimes, Don't get too caught up in it. Set some good Stop Loss's and Take Profit amounts. I cannot stress this enough if you do this, It is all about Money Management. Take a bit of profit and enjoy it, Buy some new shoes, Grab a beer. It's what its all about. You seem to have worked hard for your money.

I have also Copy'd a few traders, And I am in with the VXX at the moment as it's at all time lows, All it needs is something to start up in the world somewhere and that's a big money spinner right there.

The rest, Just go with some funds. There are funds that match exactly what you want, High/Medium/Low Risk.

I have some money in some Monthly Income Funds and also Japan and Pharma Funds for VERY long term that will be my nest egg eventually.
