> 1.) Please explain praying the rosary to me. I understand that you are praying set prayers but the mysteries are perplexing me. Do you just meditate on them, or is there something that you recite?

Two methods offered by St Louis de Montfort in The Secret of the Rosary are to say a special prayer at the beginning of each decade, or to add something to the Hail Mary after "Jesus," as in "blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus crowned with thorns." I suspect that most people just meditate.

> 2.) Religious orders. What are they really? What does it mean for a priest to belong to one, and can a lay person belong?

I'll leave it to others more qualified to say exactly what they really are, but yes, a layman can join an order, whether as a monk or while continuing life in the world. I know several regulars here belong to orders, and they'll be able to offer first-hand knowledge.

> 3.) What is the Vatican 's stance on tattoos?

There is no hard stance either way. Different Catholic moralists have different opinions on what tattoos, if any, are acceptable.

> 4.) Last one I promise. How do I explain this sudden change to my family. It's a complete 180 and I'm lost on how to explain it to them.
