If I could have anything on my wishlist, it would be the complete Twilight Zone collection. I cannot overstate how happy Rod Serling and his sci-fi/horror stories make me.

C'mon...gimme.

And you guys are looking faaaaaab today. Can I get fries with that shake?

I believe these are on sale till July 6th 11:59 PST. Check the series out during the 4th of July marathon on the Sy-Fy channel. It's a great deal for all 156 episodes as well as special features. There is a great extra of Rod Serling on the "Tell it to Groucho" show with Groucho Marx. Well worth the price admission.

Here's my issue with this, aside from the fact that I have the series completely Remastered on DVD, no doubt the same transfers that were used for the Blu-ray release: a few months back I watched "Of Late I Think of Cliffordville," a one-hour episode featuring Julie Newmar and Albert Salmi, and it starts off with the character Salmi plays being an old man. In order to age him, the makeup artists not only made his hair light, but had him bald as well, and the skull cap was so blatantly noticeable on my flat screen that it was not only very laughable, but distracting as well. You can even see how awful the job was in the picture of him on Wikipedia's Page for this episode, which is at a much lower resolution. Stuff like that really bothers me, and it's one of the things I don't like about the original Star Trek TV series on Blu-ray.

And with the transfers being from black and white film stock, I don't know that I need to have TZ on Blu-ray or how much it would really benefit by comparison to my DVD Set, which is very sharp and quite good as it is, all things considered.
