I very rarely travel more than 100 miles from home, and it's a pretty damn big world. I can't speak for the rest of the globe, but they're definitely worshiped around here. I see the signs on every block, in the windows of businesses, and on bumper stickers. Plus there's those weird blue flags flying from pickup trucks. Liberal state too. It's weird how authoritarian people in America are.

This is bogus. BLM grew out of a very legitimate problem with police enforcement. A historic problem that deserves attention.
But this flag isn't a racist symbol until it becomes one, thanks the hyper-sensitivity of some lawmakers looking for a way to put some points on the board. They've managed to turn the flag that honors police into a point of contention, and brand anyone who flies it as having racist intent. The defined this flag art as racist. Did they discuss it with the artist, or with police first, before calling in the cameras? Did they try to seek discussion first to see if their premise has foundation?
Did they consider the idea that anyone who views thin blue line flag as some form of white nationalism, dishonors it?
And what happens when other lawmakers, something I can imagine happening, insist that the flag be returned to the Capitol wall? We now have a royal blow-up in the state house over total BS.
Why don't they pass a resolution condemning Amazon and Walmart for selling the thin blue line flag. Let's hold a public hearing over this nonsense. Score more points and maybe get some national media attention.
Maybe Lamont can propose a sin tax on thin blue line flags.
