Honestly earbuds with a mic do the trick. You can get a decent pair for 20$ unless you are really wanting to spend a lot. I personally have 3 different ones I use. Something as simple as this would do the trick https://www.amazon.com/TISDLIP-Earphones-Headphones-Earbuds-Cancelling/dp/B07D5C71KR/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1539779663&sr=8-2-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=headphones&psc=1
These are not the exact model I use but they are similar. Just simple cheap earbuds without the mic. This is one of the more expensive pair that I use linked here. https://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Resistant-Microphone-Lightweight-Management/dp/B00NTR5GBO/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1539779813&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=headphones+skullcandy&dpPl=1&dpID=31NKLjHc3uL&ref=plSrch
Edit: just make sure you have the right phone in the right ear and left in the left. I accidentally had them switched and I was so confused lmao. I would hear steps on my left ear so I would look left but they were actually on my right because my right earphone was in my left ear. Hahaha.
