>I am using Windows 10, a few days ago I have been noticing weird stuff happening such as my mouse and keyboard disconnecting, which I fixed it by restarting my laptop, and laggy laptop.

it sounds like you may have several problems happening at once ( ,_,)

-

>And it happens suddenly when I cant see the drive on my windows explorer, then I proceed to restart my laptop, my laptop was stuck on the restarting part, I tried plugging out everything possible and noticed that the external hdd makes funny grinning noise when being plugged out, and the laptop only proceeds to restart the system after external hdd is plugged out.

yikes!

that actually sounds like it may be an issue with the enclosure for your external HD causing problems with your computer. like something has gone wrong with the enclosure, and possibly the disk inside is ok. your laptop powers up the enclosure using USB, and if something goes wrong with that part of the external drive, i could see it causing problems like you're describing. if your computer behaves normally w/o the external drive plugged in, that may confirm this theory.

if you are handy with computers, or have a friend who is, you can take the actual disk out of your portable drive, and install it into an empty enclosure. that would let you see if it was just the enclosure for your portable drive causing all your problems.

for example : https://www.amazon.com/Seatay-Tool-Free-External-Enclosure-Support/dp/B073ZBDFWB/

it's pretty simple to do, there are plenty of youtube videos explaining how.

if you can find a local computer repair place, they generally only charge for an hour of time to do this same swap. my mother has terrible luck with her laptop, and almost every year she takes it in to a local repair place and they pull out the hard drive, and install it into an enclosure for her, and put a new one into the laptop!

> Besides google drive and onedrive, are there actually any other "safe" cloud services? I heard people saying that google steal your data and have access to all of them, maybe I am just being paranoid but I would hate people being able to look at my data.

like i said, people on here who store things on the cloud, encrypt their data before uploading it.

your concern is legitimate, i wouldn't advise cloud storage if you aren't comfortable encrypting your data.

>I would actually need a huge storage connected to my laptop for me to use all day long, I have 1tb of song(which are gone now but I would try to accumulate them again) that I listen to everyday, and also have lots of softwares and programs. Is it actually wrong to use external storage like seagate backup plus like this? I wonder if it fails because I have been using it like this instead of a backup drive.

it's fine to use the drive as you are.

you can get a 4 TB drive for $90

hard drives fail eventually. that's just the nature of the equipment. they should last years and years though, so maybe yours had a flaw from the manufacturer.

>I was looking into seagate ironwolf pro and exos since it includes a long warranty, and also I can get recovery subscription on them, which I suppose is pretty reliable(Please correct me if I am wrong), but they are a tad too expensive for me.
>
>Would any models of internal hdd actually be alright, or is there any more expensive but more reliable model that I should look for?

you are listing internal hard drives, which would require an enclosure to use with your laptop.

the most reliable protection is to have more than one copy of your data.

for example, you would get two of the drives i linked to above. you would use one as your regular drive that you leave plugged into your computer to use your files and listen to music. the other you would only plug in once a week or once a month, and make a backup to. you'd leave it unplugged and stored away otherwise.

then, when the drive you use every day eventually fails, you still have a copy. you would just get a new drive, and copy everything from the backup onto the new drive.

hard drives should last 5 to 8 years. longer for your backup drive that only runs occasionally.

Minimum requirements for what? A fast sync node or a full node? The article uses a fast sync but also mentions a full node, and I used to have a medium article that I used to buy my pi stuff.

This case. This SD card. This HDD.
