Not a female, but I do occasionally go solo hiking. It can be a little unnerving at times. Try taking a stun gun for close quarters and a trip alarm for peace of mind. Stay safe.

You can run as much of whatever wire you want for a perimeter. It just has to be able to pull the pin. It’s great for scaring off predators but it’s possible that if one of the birds happens to casually trip it, they’ll run farther away from the house.
