The clicker itself is pointless. It's the account that costs money regardless. Assuming you only have a clicker...people can buy those for 15$ or less.

Ostensibly it's worth 20$ brand new, since that's the price of them as far as I can tell.

Yep! Just put my UAH ID into the clicker itself and registered on the Turning website. This is an older model (some of the newer ones are a whole lot slimmer), but it worked out just fine for my summer chemistry class. Link for similar
