I usually go with Anker charging products, they haven’t let me down and they are in the right price zone for me, about 20-30 dollars usually. I always get suspicious when the thing I want is less than 15 dollars, especially regarding power/charging/batteries. Saw this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HQhQBbQM91B01 which is probably the one I’d buy if I was in the market. Has usbc, not a lot of the others do. I assume you are using a usbc to lightning cable? This would probably be the best.
It has to be USB-C to USB-C for PD.
So yes, you need one that says PD.
USB-PD is supposed to be the next standard for USB like USB Micro was/is. Quick Charge is QualComm's proprietary charging I believe.
EDIT: Something like this is what you're looking for
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071WYF9HP
Get a car charger that has a USB C port and supports Power Delivery. For example:
Anker: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_A-U3BbEYS6HSC
Or Nekteck: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075WQQG7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eaV3BbP5W3E8F
All chargers are safe, it was USB C cables that where the issue for a while (because most of them where USB-A to USB-C).
If you want fastest possible charger get one that support USB-C PD and use a C to C cable. Anker is always a safe choice.

Those front charging ports are a joke even when they charge - they simply don't have enough power to charge a modern phone that's even under moderate use.
Get yourself a cigarette lighter charger and run it out from the center console. This one is GREAT for the iPhoneX.

As others have said you can do this with a relatively small setup. There is a LOT to consider - HOW portable, HOW efficient, etc etc. Help me out if the below suggestions don' t meet the need I can piece together just about any system for you :P

You could get by on a small sealed lead acid battery designed for uninterruptible power supplies. They range in size but average 9 amp hours. I say get yourself a little 35 amp hour and never worry about discharge rate if you are only powering the win2 even if the sun don't shine that day. For the solar - buy BIGGER than you need - learned this the hard way with my truck camper. Right sized is great until the season changes or its overcast etc.

Check out this little starter kit - it includes the solar panel and charge controller:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DCDZOI0/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_2ehvCbKCNM5MT

Down in the frequently bought together you should see a 35ah battery - will fully charge the win2 a few times and not even feel it:
https://www.amazon.com/85980-D5722-Sealed-Battery-UB12350/dp/B001VV0318/ref=pd_bxgy_2/135-2046487-8709925?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001VV0318&pd_rd_r=f062a34c-263c-11e9-b2b2-83751d0b2340&pd_rd_w=Nxcwh&pd_rd_wg=KqE5I&pf_rd_p=3f9889ac-6c45-46e8-b515-3af650557207&pf_rd_r=KWC3NGMZ50M5TJWJ1STT&psc=1&refRID=KWC3NGMZ50M5TJWJ1STT

12v car charger that I use with the win2 - works great:
https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Anker-PowerDrive-Adapter-MacBook/dp/B071WYF9HP/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1549038482&sr=8-3&keywords=anker+pd+2+car+charger

Plenty portable depending on your needs. Its almost as easy as color coding to setup. You can power the win2 and multiple devices if you so choose. Expandable at a later time if you choose with panel and batts. Will fit in any trunk or backseat. Hell it will fit in a big backpack (panel is 21x26). Large enough charge current to top off your battery quick even in partial sun - big enough reserve to keep you going for a couple days easily. This is just an example of an 'easy' bundle if you wanna save some more money I can show places to get these items cheaper.

If you wanna talk more DIY and are not afraid of LI-ION 18650s you can build you a safe lighter and denser battery for pretty cheap. It would be piecing together a charge controller and panel but I would say stick to 50w range - affordable and covers your power needs even in less than ideal conditions. If you wanna go more expensive but more portable flexible/foldable panels are out there too.

I have the Anker USB-C car charger and it works great. Fast charge works with and without the Moshi audio+charging adapter. I also bought an Anker USB C cable for $7.
https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Anker-PowerDrive-Adapter-MacBook/dp/B071WYF9HP/
The USB C port charges rapidly. The USB A port shows "Charging" so medium speed, not slow charging.
Yes, the GS9 supports PD. I would recommend this.
https://amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP
If you’re still using A to C cables right now, then you can continue to use the A port, but when you switch to C to C, then that extra port will really come in handy.

Is this one a good car charger?
USB C Charger, Anker PowerPort II, UL Certified 49.5W Wall Charger with Foldable Plug, One 30W Power Delivery Port for MacBook, iPhone X/8/8 Plus, Pow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721DV7YX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_adrbPwaih2KUS
This one works better than the one that came with the phone
USB-C Car Charger, PowerDrive II PD with 1 PD and 1 PIQ, with Power Delivery for MacBook, Pixel, iPhone X / 8 / 8 Plus, and PowerIQ 2.0 Fast Charge fo https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_IyufyUb7Ycf84
And this one is fantastic in the car
Pick up a new USB adaptor. You want a deep one. I have a couple no name flush ones that don't work in various cars, but my anker ones do not have that issue in any car so far.
Edit: here ya go.. this one works flawlessly:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP
I think I'm going to pick this up for the car: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071WYF9HP/?coliid=I3AR6AGUVOXN60&colid=19CN8ZUAHIT22&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Has a 30W port. Probably as fast as I'm going to get in the car
Side note: I purchased this Anker 49.5W PowerDrive Speed+ 2 [Amazon link] which had a dedicated 30W USB Power Delivery port. However I didn't do enough research (no PPS tech and it's not Power Delivery v3.0) so it's doesn't even charge beyond 18W.
I tested it the stock Samsung USB-C that came with my Note 10+.
I'm certain Anker and everyone else will be releasing PPS-rated chargers in the coming weeks. It's an thin market at the moment.
