I wonder, if you have a microwave, could you somehow smuggle in a rice cooker or a crockpot? Those are rather small and would give you so many more options :/

Also, buy regular rice in bulk and cook it in the microwave like this. It's much less expensive. Beans, lentils, corn chickpeas are all great. Do you have a freezer?
