A good flashlight that won't let you down, and isn't cheaply made can be pricey. I tried to find the cheapest, yet good quality light that comes with a strike bezel in case you ever need one (hopefully you won't), but one can never be too careful.

4 modes of brightness, strobe, and sos modes. Easy to find batteries AA, (don't use lithium rechargeable, but non rechargeable lithium are okay) various other types of AA you can use.
