Probably cheaper and easier to just buy a dual monitor mount than a new desk. You can have two monitors with one base therefore not needing a bigger desk. They go for like <$50 on Amazon.

u/archedpenguin · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

There are many with stands on amazon for ~$50 but the stands are pretty big.

I have this one.

u/bradleygkv · 3 pointsr/macsetups

I took the photo last night and centered it this morning lol.

The monitor bracket I got was this one on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS

It "includes" a free standing base and a desk mount. However, I, and others who left reviews, received a bolt-through mount instead of a C-clamp. This required me to have to drill a hole through my desk.

> I was wondering if I'll have any issues with this setup in terms of stability/support on the desk

Almost definitely. The Linmon desks are super cheap, they are literally just cardboard on the inside. No way it's going to support the weight of 2 monitors. Better off getting something that sits on the desk like this

A question I can actually answer! I have this mount set up with my 29" lg ultrawide, and a 24" 16:9 panel. It's big enough for them both to go flat. It depends on how much you plan to adjust them, if you want the freedom to move everything around a lot, swivel screens from landscape to portrait, etc get 2 individual arms. If you just plan to set it and forget it, get one like I linked

EDIT: nevermind, just saw you said preferably wall mount. Individual arms might be best then. But if you find a dual, just know that one's like mine say they're fine for 2 27" screens, and a 29" UW and 24" fit that

Tis amazing what you can find on Amazon with literally 20 seconds of searching.

I have 2 fans, one in the front sucking in and one in the back blowing out, but thank you for double checking! I was skeptical about carpet as well, my friend said it would be fine

EDIT: here's a link to the stand - It's actually quite sturdy! I have two 27" ASUS VE278H monitors.

I got it on Amazon. It's extremely good for the money considering its one of the only ones that doesn't have to be clamped down to the desk. This works well if your desk is too thick on the back-side. Supports both of my 27" monitors easily and lets them move pretty freely.

Follow up for anyone with this desk who is wondering the same thing:

In order to have a mount, you'll need something that sits on the desk itself. The support beam under the shelf where you'd clamp the mount is at an angle that can't accommodate it. It may be possible to drill a hole, depending on the mount you choose. Am looking into this one

I'm trying to mount it to a dual monitor stand with [These] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06X9C7XDD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). There is a screw that I can see when I took the base off but it is inaccessible. I haven't taken the bezel off yet though. [This] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018MU3SAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) is the monitor stand I purchased.

u/HugzMonster · 1 pointr/battlestations

The stand is by WALI that I got from Amazon. Pretty easy to setup and after adjusting it, the monitors are very level. It even has cable management clips and an option to drill the fixture into the desk (not sure I'm going to do that just yet).

The display on the left is a heavy ass Samsung SyncMaster 204B that I got a long time ago but it still works after replacing a few capacitors in it. The display on the right is a Samsung S22F350FHN that I got from MicroCenter for 99 bucks. It's a TN panel but I don't move that much in front of my desk.

Once I finish PA school and start working, I will probably go ultrawide for my next gaming build. I'll keep these for productivity since I can read x-rays on the left and then do my hospital notes on the right.

Would you be interested in a dual monitor stand? I was planning on selling mine soon. It would help a lot with desk space on those small dorm desks. This is the one I have.

u/Mikkei5 · 1 pointr/BulletBarry

I'd say get a dual monitor arm, like a Wali one which you don't have to mount and just sits on your desk ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kQhbBbJDBH74T) . The offset of the monitors throws me off. Also, why are your peripherals so in?

Anyone know if the base is detachable? I want to buy 2 of these and mount them on this stand:

https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional/dp/B018MU3SAS

u/vvulfmann · 1 pointr/battlestations

Sounds like either a different desk surface is in order, or else one of those weighted-base mounts like: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-MF002/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=monitor+mount&qid=1574830457&sr=8-13 Good luck!

u/Elspeth-CB · 1 pointr/battlestations

Thanks for the advice about the speakers. I was trying to get stuff off the desk, but I'll move them back down.
I do plan on getting nice monitor stands something like this maybe, still trying to find the best options for them. I'm thinking one just for the small monitor, since I plan on having that one be vertical. The other two are heavy, so I need to find a dual monitor stand that can handle the weight.
LOL, my helper gets lots of scratches, he is a very spoiled baby.

u/pewpewcpu · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I wouldn't be surprised if we have the same desk, bought mine at ikea too. It's called a WALI Dual Monitor Desk Mount Its got a heavy metal base that helps counteract the weight of two monitors up to 27".

u/ToppenAvSnoppen · 1 pointr/battlestations

Unfortunately I am not nearly handy enough to build something like that on my own. I got it here: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional/dp/B018MU3SAS

u/KingDamian · 1 pointr/battlestations

Thanks man! That controller is a scuf and the monitor arm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_6ILrxmZdL6e2r

u/dustinpdx · 1 pointr/DIY

Two things to think about adding:
Wire Channel
Monitor Stand

u/Nexdeus · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Standing-Adjustable-Capacity-Optional/dp/B018MU3SAS

Looks like this is what you want , for the price you're looking for.

u/Phiveoh · 1 pointr/buildapc

The desk I currently use is not possible to "clamp" the monitor arm down (like I have in the past). The desktop itself is like steel- I'm not drilling through it.

I found these dual monitor "standing" mounts, like advertised here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018MU3SAS/

My monitors are quite pricey (both 27") so I'm nervous as I've never used a standing model such as this before.

Have any of you tried these? Do they balance the weight?

Edit: My two monitors are:

Asus Rog PG279Q is listed as 15.4 lbs on the Amazon page

LG 27UK650-W is showing 13.7 lbs on the Amazon page

u/nagathenaga · 1 pointr/battlestations

For what it does, yeah I kinda like it, but now that I’ve had it a while I’m considering buying a different mount. This one was pretty cheap, like $50 I think. The bolts are made of really cheap material and have pretty much stripped out. The arms also seem like they are bending from the load of the monitors. Here is the Amazon link for it, in case ya wanna see some other reviews.
