I'm reading Warriors of God by James Reston right now. I can't recommend it as a history book as there's an insane lack of footnotes to know where the author is getting his information from but for a basic understanding of Richard and the Third Crusade that's also an entertaining read it's worth it. I'm thinking of it more as historical fiction. =
