I went with Anker, since I own their other products and have no issues whatsoever http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B011995DDO/ - works like a charm.

Here is the one I bought.

To quote one of the reviewers:

>They correctly comply with the USB-C spec so they do not falsely advertise a 3A current being available to plugged in devices. This matters because although one end is the new USB-C type, the other is the legacy USB-A type and the maximum current that USB-A charges should supply is 2.4A. If your device demands more than that it can cause the charger to brown out and even be damaged or catch fire, and this could also result in damage to your device. Even if your charger has over-current protection, it is not a good idea to test it out by using bad cables. These cables include a resistor of the correct value to tell the USB-C device that it should not demand more than the USB-A spec can supply and therefore all is well.

I can always vouch for Anker and Aukey cables / chargers. We use them a lot at work, and they're pretty popular on Amazon.

Alternatively, you could use the small adapters for MicroUSB to USBC. They appear to work with my existing fast chargers.

I don't see a model number, but this is the cable I use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011995DDO

However if you need the wall plug part as well, you'd probably want to buy this set:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerIQ-Anker-Charger-PowerPort-included/dp/B01CJ9OEZG/

Note that the quick charging technology is overkill, generally you'd want to slow charge these phones when possible (and the phone will set this automatically, at least at night)

edit: the charger link is uk, so with UK plug, but I'm sure you local store or localized online store has it with any plug you need

Got Android Auto for the first time a few weeks ago. Right away had problems with it either not recognising or regularly disconnecting my Pixel 2 XL.

When I enabled USB debugging it improved but wasn't perfect. Changed my usb cable and switched usb debugging off and it's been running with no hiccups ever since.

This is the cable I'm using now, just wish it was a bit shorter...

I've been reading around and it does seem that there is currently no market solution for Thunderbolt2/USB port to USB C peripheral. Having just bought a new MBP 2015 I'm kinda worried. Can anyone confirm this?

EDIT : On second thought, does anyone think that think [this Anker cable](
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Pull-up-Resistor-MacBook-ChromeBook/dp/B011995DDO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1477996625&sr=8-4&keywords=usb+c+to+usb) will work? The advertised use case seems to be USB C port to USB3 peripheral though...

EDIT 2 : Looks like it works for USB C phones at least! Imgur

The guy in the review uses an LG G5 (USB-C) and connects it to his computer(USB3).

Hi guys

Can anyone please confirm if this cable, plugged into a standard spare usb plug into the wall socket, would charge the switch at a sufficient rate while playing it? It's a spare Samsung phone plug I have.

Many thanks

I use this when flying to charge through the plane’s USB port- should I stop?

I swear by the Anker usb type c cables now after a run in with my original oneplus charger (melted and burnt part of my casing). They're also been reviewed and tested by a guy at Google I think. Plus they're quite cheap still. Anker USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (3.3ft) with 56k Ohm Pull-up Resisto... http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B011995DDO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_udp_awd_z5k3wb8WZXJYQ

As with any USB-C accessories, be careful of what you buy. If you want dash charging then you can only really get the official one

However if you are looking to just get any USB C cable in order to use other chargers etc then I recommend this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B011995DDO/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_1

This cable is marked as safe by Benson Leung of Google. Whilst it will not give you dash charging it is pretty much safe to use with any charger

u/Raider1284 · 1 pointr/oneplus

the OP3 should charge around 2.1A with a good non-dash charger and cable. so if you were seeing speeds less the 1A its gotta be your hardware.

If you get a good charger and cable like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Pull-up-Resistor-MacBook-ChromeBook/dp/B011995DDO you should be able to charge around 2A.

Anker is always a solid choice.

It will work for charging the switch on the go. But unfortunately will not charge the switch while in use. We havent yet determined what kind of power output is needed to do that yet.
