Yeah they look pretty identical to the ones I have, they are very good. I put 25x lens in they come with 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x loupe lenses. With all the lenses you will find that they are close focus so you will be almost (and most likely) touching the nib to the loupe as it has to be that close to be in focus but once in focus they are really good.

Yeah I think Montblanc kinda have this attitude based on the brand awareness, take it or leave it. I've heard this a lot from people, that's one reason why I've never really explored Montblanc that and the amount of bad service requests you hear on here about Montblanc puts me off a lot. My last two Visconti's I bought I was given two sets of finial initials and they put them on my pen along with a free Visconti bookmark and a leather two pen pouch. Visconti do seem to look after customers a bit better, although I think it's only a suggestion as not all Visconti retailers do the same thing but many do.

Something else you might want to get is this. It's really good for helping to smooth out nibs or round them off. Basically ink up your pen and take the lower size (coarser) and do figure of 8's to smooth a nib out, do a couple and then move to the next higher grit size. Most people will go all the way up to 28000 grit but I found just starting and ending on 2000 grit helped really smooth out a badly scratchy Monteverde nib I had. The tines were aligned properly just bad tipping on the tines or where the tines were cut into two.

I feel like my sandpaper was too coarse for the kit so I used it sparingly, there's a set of sandpaper with various high grit kit on amazon for about £5 = $8

3000 is not necessary then? What about 120 grit? I have found a decent deal for a 240-2000 grit pack. Is that good? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009QZEQKK/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_s3dGzbBBJ71NV

Well, let me help you with the tools.

This is what I have it has served me well for the past 7months of this hobby.

This is all you should need for the starting of the models.

Above is all the basic stuff you need for this hobby, I might of missed something, but don't think so.

Get the models and paints from https://www.darksphere.co.uk/pgc.php?c=1106 as it could literally mean for example, in my case, I can buy 3 manticores(the thing with a load of rockets) for the price of 2 manticores from the offical site or shop of gamesworkshop.

Everything is about 30% cheaper than offical places but literally the same stuff.

Also, look on ebay daily as they have some great deals sometimes, also would really pay to get some cheap shitty model and practice on it, rather than getting some nice and new model and using it as practice.

Hope this helps:)
