I think in terms of pure huge impact on the sport, 'what if the NCAA let Penn keep their TV deal" is probably the biggest one. Terrified of TV, the NCAA pushed for collective control of TV, forcing Penn and Notre Dame to give up their contracts.
Had that not happened, not only is there a good chance that Penn is the dominant program in PA (not Penn State), but that we never have an NCAA capable of punishing anybody or enforcing rules. It'd all be conference based.
