Who made God? by Edgar Andrews A physicist with MANY letters after his name (he's kind of a big deal in many scientific circles) decided to write in response to many of the new atheists. Mainly deals with science philosophy and faith issues. Worth checking out.
The Defense of the Faith by Cornelius Van Til. The father of presuppositional apologetics, he shows how our presuppositions play a role in our respective world views.
Religion, Freedom and Revelation by Gordon Clark. He used proofs for faith the way you would do a proof in Geometry.
God Revelation and Authority by Carl F. Henry. Once Evangelicalism's fiercest thinker, this is his 6 Vol. philosophical defense of the faith.
Faith and Reason by Ronald Nash. A student of Gordon Clark, he taught philosophy and wrote this book as an intro to philosophy of religion from a Christian perspective.
The Canon of Scripture by F.F. Bruce So how did the books of the Bible get put into the Bible and why? This book looks at the history of it.
Miracles by C. S. Lewis Lewis understood that unless he had a reason to believe that miracles were possible, we'd never take much of the Bible seriously, so here is his attempt at doing just that.
C. S. Lewis's Dangerous Idea by Victor Reppert Picks up where Lewis left off in his book miracles. It's a philosophical defense of miracles and an expansion of Lewis's argument from reason.
Contending with Christianities Critics by Various Authors Finally,
a good book made up of essays by various author's dealing with many current objections to the faith. Writers include philosophers, scientists, theologians and a psychologist.
Hope this list helps.
Thanks! Lots to read here. I read Lee Srobel's book Case For Christ and I must admit I found it annoying and disingenuous. I will definatly have a look at Reason For God. Have you read Who Made God?
In my opinion it's because it's the truth.
Humans get into long debates over this whole thing but here's my short version:
We exist. We must have come from somewhere. The Bible offers the best explanation for our existence.
See this book for a decent, scientific approach to the question of God.
